Daveen DiGiacomo is the center director of Blossom Music Tree. Daveen has been a music educator to young children for over 20 years. She started off teaching piano while also teaching band & orchestra at elementary schools in Los Angeles. After discovering the Music Together® program in 2007, she put down her baton, picked up her shakers, did a couple dance moves and has been teaching it ever since. Daveen is pleased as punch at the opportunity to be sharing her enthusiasm for music with families. She is passionate about the teachings and philosophies behind the Music Together program and loves connecting families together while showing parents how to be musical with their children.
Daveen holds a B.A. in Music from San Francisco State University and is a licensed Music Together director and teacher. She was raised in Iowa where the corn was sweet and the sunsets golden. She spent many years in San Francisco, composing music for dance and theatre companies throughout the Bay Area. She decided to exchange the fog forecast for the surf forecast in 2012 and became apart of the sunny North County San Diego community, where she started Blossom Music Tree. She loves using her accordion in class and it’s been known for parents to finally give in to their toddler’s requests for a smaller version of her squeezebox. She secretly hopes to start a new generation of accordion players.
